Elbit Systems (TASE: ESLT), has been awarded a $76M contract to supply an electronic warfare training capacity to an air force in the Asia-Pacific region. The deal will be in effect for two years. Elbit Systems will deliver a solution to the Air Force in the Asia Pacific as part of the deal that will enable aircrews to practice take-offs and landings in a hostile environment for electronic warfare. Transmitters, sensors, communication systems, command and control systems, and tools for analysis and investigation are all part of the agreed deal.

The need for electronic warfare training capabilities has grown, according to Oren Sebag, CEO of Elbit Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Systems, since preparation for field threats has become essential for the force’s capacity to survive and complete its mission.

However, this is the second deal in two days won by Elbit Systems. The company has been awarded a $10M contract to commence phase II of the development of an Advanced Low Light Level Sensor (ALLLS) that is designed to be used to support the U.S. Army’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System 2.0 (IVAS 2.0) for soldiers. The contract is intended to be completed through 2025 and the work will be performed in Roanoke, Virginia. Under the agreement, Elbit’s subsidiary in the US will develop multiple prototype cameras for laboratory and field testing by its Night Vision team. The ALLLS is a key component to the U.S. Army’s IVAS 2.0 concept that enables next-generation situational awareness tools and high-resolution digital sensors to provide a single operating picture.

In addition, today the company announced that it will be providing 120mm mortar systems for the U.S. Army, with the contract value standing at $49M.
